Job Family SummaryThe responsibilities for this position include developing and qualifying electronic designs for Graphics modules for desktop, portable and server computer systems. Duties include working with the graphics supplier on all activities necessary to take a design from concept to production including: architecture definition, schematic design, simulation, physical board layout/route, debug, and test issue resolution and factory ramp support. Additional duties can include development/qualification of the associated device drivers/applets. The Graphics engineer will be responsible for working with the platform teams to ensure his or her design meets the requirements for: feature set, functionality, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.jofnfm In addition, the Graphics engineer will be responsible for sustaining support of released products through the product end of life (EOL). This includes: software support, factory support, field service escalation processes, failure analysis, redesign or re-work as needed to correct issues, and to drive and own the Graphics board BOM after its release.jofnfm jofnfm Principal AccountabilitiesDevelopment:jofnfm o Responsible for electrical design of assigned Graphics subsystem.jofnfm o Ensure the manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of designs.jofnfm o Support the prototype PWA builds of assigned design.jofnfm o Validate and characterize assigned design.jofnfm Sustaining:jofnfm o Evaluate any vendor requested component or design changes through specification review and testing. Review and communicate issues to supplier jofnfm o Assist factory and quality personnel in determining cause of failures, and monitor for failure trends. Analyze customer issues as escalated through the PTR process to determine root causejofnfm o Conduct Root Cause Analysis on reported failures. Drive the results through the appropriate team in Dell or with supplier to prevent future occurrences.jofnfm o Work with suppliers to identify the fix for the reported failure. Determine Corrective Action for hardware caused issues.jofnfm o Write a test plan and conduct the testing to ensure the quality of the identified fix.jofnfm o Drive the implementation of the fix through Dell process, and release it to the field.jofnfm o Recommend changes for software and BIOS-caused issues.jofnfm o Participate in design reviews for new products.jofnfm jofnfm jofnfm Qualificationsjofnfm · BSEE or MSEE minimumjofnfm · Minimum 5 years experience doing development work on computer or graphics related products.jofnfm · Good understanding of product development process, including design, test, and introduction to manufacturing.jofnfm · Excellent knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory and principles. jofnfm · Desireable – Good understanding of PC Graphics sub-system structure (e.g. VGA graphics controller, video output, memory and buses).jofnfm · Excellent verbal and written communication.jofnfm · Strong presentation skills. jofnfm · Excellent team leadership skills. jofnfm · Ability to manage multiple programs and/or areas simultaneously. jofnfm · Excellent problem solving and analysis skills. jofnfm · Understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products, and competitor\'s offerings. jofnfm · Ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features and determines optimum selection. jofnfm · Ability to work under date-driven schedules. jofnfm · Ability to write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentationjofnfm jofnfm 联系方式：zoeapril2001#yahoo.com.cn |
